Fun Family Science Experiments (A Photo Essay)

Last weekend, Nick and I spent some time working on four short, easy and fun science experiments. Here’s a photo-essay.

My friend, Mike Adamick, recently wrote “Dad’s Book of Awesome Science Experiments,” a follow-up to his best-selling book of kids’ projects. These science projects are easy to do, teach quick lessons, and were really fun. Here are some photos from our experiments. Enjoy.

Disclaimer: Adamick sent me a free book in advance of publication. I received no other remuneration.

There are many ways to turn an otherwise lazy day with your kids into a fun day of father-and-kid projects- Lego sets, crafts and puzzles, scavenger hunts, music jams, science experiments. Whatever your interests, may as well spend active time sharing them instead of spending the day watching tv or checking the smartphone. Sometimes books like these are good reminders not to let too many lazy days pass you by.

What do you think about these science experiments? Other projects you do with your kids? Any experiences to share? Let’s discuss in the comments section.
